Beef burrito bowls for the first image. BBQ Chicken, and regular grilled chicken, with mash potatoes and veggies in the second.

I just spent a lot of time learning on my own. It started with being jobless, living off food stamps when I was younger. You have to get creative with cheap meals.

I will eventually get these recipes up on the forum. Just priorities have been elsewhere lately.

I’m not sure on the exact weight of each meal atm. The burrito bowl has a bit under half an lb of beef per. Chicken meals are one whole breast per.

The calories per meal are about 700-800, 8% fat 65% carb, 37% protein roughly. The idea is to have two of these a day on workout days, and fill the rest with carbs, turkey sandwiches and such.

I’ll throw in one last tip on making Mexican rice.

Start with your usual 2cups rice, 4cups water. But add a cup of your favorite salsa in the boiling water, right before you cover the rice to simmer. That’s it, nothing special.

I dont eat rice as often as most other people seem to do here, lots of chic n rice meals, I’m more red meat and fish, but not to sat i dont eat chic regularly, probably 2x a week

I’m not a big fan of rice. I didn’t cook rice ever until I started dieting. I’ve always been a meat an potatoes kind of person, lots of steak, ham, eggs, bacon, sausage. Not a day goes by I don’t think about it.

I’m thinking I’ll have a year long plan of this dieting, leaning, bulking to look good. Then I’m going to go back to athletic performance and strength over bodybuilding. It is still in my bucket list to run a marathon, wingsuit/base jump, snow board. And it would be better if I could keep a good balance between weight and strength.
