ROIDTEST™ Top 5 Testing Tips
1.) Make Sure You Have The Correct Testing Ampules
The first step to completing a successful identification with ROIDTEST™ is to ensure you have the proper testing ampules needed for identifying the particular substance that you would like to test for. We make this particularly easy, by offering our substance specific Test/Refill options for all of the most popularly used steroids. These kits contain the pair of necessary ampules needed to perform one identification. Everything needed to perform one identification is included for only $24.99, making this a remarkably quick and simple testing solution, even for first-time users.
If you opt for the Complete Steroid Testing System, your kit will arrive with a full color chart. On this chart, arrows will be present next to the two ampules needed for testing each substance. You can also view the full color chart, along with the information on which ampules to use for each substance at the bottom of our home page.
The Complete Steroid Testing System is our most versatile product. It can identify more than 20 different steroids, and analyze all common formats including raw powders, pills, and oils (the individual kits are not recommended for raw powders). The complete system also includes an additional step for most substances, that involves examination under UV light (see Tip #5). We recommend this kit if you are testing raw powders, require frequent testing, or prefer the versatility of testing any substance on the fly, as opposed to ordering specific tests.
2.) When Testing an Injectable, Use Ampule D First.
The D ampule is used for hormone detection. We recommend pairing this ampule with either the A or B ampule, depending on the substance being tested (please refer to color chart above). The A and B ampules are used for ester identification. Together, with the two ampules, one can be informed about both the steroidal hormone present in their sample, as well as the ester present. This is of particular concern to users of anabolic steroids, as a short ester such as propionate would leave the user needing to inject far more frequently than with an enanthate ester, for example, to maintain consistent levels of hormone in their body.
We love saving our customers money, and this is a quick money saving tip that will certainly help you in the future. We recommend using the D ampule first, and to save the other ampule for future testing if ampule D reveals no hormone is present. One last quick note when using the D ampule, be sure to always use the catalyst ball. The catalyst ball is found in the lid of the D ampule. This necessary component of the test should be dropped into the ampule, after placing 3-6 drops of your substance inside. The lid is designed so that upon dropping the catalyst ball into the D ampule, the lid will fit nicely back on top of the ampule.
3.) Understanding Timed Reactions In The C & D Ampules
Many customers ask if the C ampule is supposed to arrive with a yellow solution inside. This is indeed the case, the C ampule contains a yellow solution, unlike the clear solutions seen in ampules A, B and D. The color isn’t the only unique component to the C ampule, however. With ampules A & B, you will want to note the immediate color reaction that takes place. Please note, the solution will darken over time once your sample has been placed in the testing ampule. Be sure to take note of the immediate color reaction in ampules A and B. Ampule C on the other hand, has a very unique 15 minute timed reaction, and is used when testing oral steroids, pills and powders.
The oxandrolone test is particularly popular. This is due not only to the widespread use of this drug throughout both men and women, but also the remarkable difference in reaction one will see if a counterfeiter has tried to give them low dosed dianabol, or oral turinabol in place of the more expensive and more sought after oxandrolone. It is remarkable how common of an occurrence it is that we hear from customers who received oral turinabol or dianabol substituted in place of oxandrolone.
When testing for oxandrolone and stanozolol, you will want to wait a full 15 minutes after placing your substance inside the C ampule. At the 15 minute mark, oxandrolone will have produced a reaction that is a darker shade of yellow, whereas stanozolol will produce an olive green reaction. Both of these reactions are remarkably different than those seen when a common counterfeit drug such as dianabol or oral turinabol is substituted in place, as both will immediately produce dark color reactions.
The D ampule is quite versatile, as it is used for testing all injectable preparations and esterified steroids. We literally saved the best for last with the D ampule, which is the most recent addition to the 4 ampules that compose the ROIDTEST™ testing system. Pay particular attention to the timed reactions listed on the color chart, in the D column. As you’ll notice, a substance such as Trenbolone will immediately produce a dark purple reaction, whereas other substances will slowly turn from a light purple, to a dark, rich, vibrant purple. Boldenone, for example, takes between 10 and 20 minutes to produce this strong purple reaction within the D ampule. These timed reactions are particular to each substance, allowing yet another unique identifier for the user to take note of.
4.) 365nm UV Light For Ampule B & Raw Powders
We always recommend those who are testing raw powders to go with the Complete Steroid Testing system, as the precise 365nm UV light contained inside will produce profound color reactions when the user shines it on the B ampule. Take a moment to note the B (UV) column on the color chart. You’ll quickly notice the remarkably unique color reactions seen for almost every raw powder. For those who are regularly testing raw powders, this is a must-have. The 365nm UV light can also be used as a third step to verifying the legitimacy of your sample in the B ampule for particular oils and pills, as noted on the color chart.
A note about UV lights. High quality lights that emit true 365nm wavelength light can be difficult to find and expensive. We’ve searched long and hard for a model that would meet the needs of the ROIDTEST™ system. Whether you choose to purchase a UV light here or elsewhere, we strongly encourage you to avoid “cheapy” lights, as they are often not true 365nm, or the 365nm wavelength may be so nonspecific for 365nm that it will be obscured by too much other visible light.

An extremely small sample is required for ROIDTEST™ to work. Many users fear they will have to use a whole pill, or a large amount of oil. Thankfully, there is no need to waste any unnecessary anabolics with this kit. Simply place 3-6 drops of oil from a needle tip, or a matched sized scraping of the powder you want tested, into the provided ampules. If you have a tablet, cut off a small piece and crush it into powder before placing a match head sized portion into each of the testing ampules. If your sample is in capsule form, simply empty out a small portion of the powder within. From there, you can check the color reaction(s) against the provided chart. Within minutes you will see if the substance has been identified.
