TODAYS ISSUE OF NO GYM AND EATING LIKE SHIT.

Hi all.No work today.its to hot for my dad,he doesn't handle the heat well at his age and meds.and I'm never opposed to a day off. Lookin forward Friday n Saturday,going to 2 4th July parties.gonna eat a lot,drink a lot and smoke a lot of weed.I don't mind the fireworks,the smell,the booms,flashes,it gets me excited,AS LONG as I know their coming,but my bro in law will obviously give me a warning before he starts,bunch of us chipped in,for about $1,500 worth of fire,so should be a decent backyard show.
I don't forsee myself going to the gym until next week sometime.But I forsee myself eating shitty,don't get it twisted fruits n veggies are Always in my diet.Hope everyone has a smooth n productive day.oh and here are my flea bags,I love these two more then most humans.

Got a wild hair…. Going fucking nuts inside my own brain, I’ve decided that under the watchful eye of my good friend who’s just as Gimpy as me …… I’m coming out of retirement and doing a meet. Goal is a 1000# total at either 198 or 220, but I think I’ll easily blow that out of the water, Masters 2 will be the class, but may also throw myself into open

You know way more about this than I do.

What works for me is limiting the eccentric portion of squat and bench. Especially bench. I found that if I bench off of pins (dead bench) 80ish percent of the time…my shoulders actually don’t take a beating. I box squat maybe 50% of the time.

I’m going to let my buddy program for me. He knows everything that’s wrong with me, and will know how to train to improve my weaknesses. I do a lot of box squats and board presses still, I’ll probably incorporate pin and floor presses. I figure if I hit a 500 lb deadlift, I can easily split 500 between bench and squat

I’m also low balling by shooting for a 1000 lbs total. That way I feel a little better about something close to 1200#. My PR total at 198 was 1540, and 220 was 1606#, both raw with sleeves. I’ll probably try to stay away from actual squat, bench and DL until I start an 8 week prep
