All right guys. Still kind of new to tracking things i shove in my cake hole. It’s salad night. We have pretty big salads with hard boiled eggs big chicken breasts cheese etc. i know how to quantify that stuff.

Do you guys count the lettuce, tomatoes…cucumbers?

@Kad1 @NeuroRN and any other of you fine gentlemen/women

Use a scale. I use one everyday for every meal. Gets easy once your in a routine. Using volumetric forms of measurement are not accurate

Ahhhh. That was a question i had floating around in my brain housing group.

I generally don’t count fibrous carbs so no salad , cucumber or green leafy veg. The tomato I would because there is sugar in them. I would take them out if you are trying to get to deficit

Measuring is such a great thing, it really puts into perspective how much we actually eat. I can’t see doing any kind of diet without weighing it all out. Once you do it so long you get a good eye to guesstimate though haha

Me too and then I’ll be accused of cheating even more. At least my girl started hitting gym today so she will hopefully get a little tighter

I typically do what @NeuroRN does. If it’s leafy greens I typically don’t count them because of their fiber content. I would agree on counting out the tomato and other more carb heavy vegetables, like onions or bell peppers. That’s just me though
