@Poppy
Great work! As far as I’m aware you have been at it regularly for many years and all that work clearly shows. I know so many 30 year olds (hell even some in their 20s), that you’d run circles around.
I was at a middle school track meet the other day and just seeing the decline in just...
These daily logs are some of my favorites. Great way to start of your day. Also based on the responses from others I try to reproduce some of the food into my morning.
My breakfast was a 5 egg (3 whites, 2 whole) omelet with peppers, onions, a bit of feta cheese, and spinach. 1 cup Kodiak high...
Welcome! Curious on your current goals at ~250 lbs. Current height and estimate BF%? Working on a body transformation or primarily increasing size/strength? Lots of great information from these guys. Best of luck through your journey!
For some reason my tablet wouldn’t let me log in the site over the past week or so but found a way around it (though I don’t using my phone vs iPad). Anyhow sorry for not posting and I miss hearing all the new topics and conversations. Things have been crazy at work and hone. All is good though...
Yeah, with the levers I was hesitant to get them as they are pricey. However there is so much variation that mimics almost all hammer strength machines. Definitely not essential, but is awesome to use to add in some variety!
Here’s a few setups I’ve done thus far. Didn’t have a pic but an overheating standing shoulder press works great. The challenge with presses directly out or slightly above is I need to put a couple 100lb plates behind the bench or it will move. One work around is attaching the crossmember for my...
Yeah been messing around with the lever arms a lot and really can mimic almost any hammer strength machine now which I usually use for accessory work after main barbell or dumbbell lifts, but sometimes will switch it up and do 4-5 heavy sets at the beginning. Just have to be creative using...
Yeah at this point I’m doing it more to help others as O blood supply seems to be pretty low. Donating double reds every 4 months or so (that’s the most you can do due to the amount) has never been an issue aside from the time they wrecked my arm up! Plan to keep it up.
Just curious is there a specific recent publication addressing this view? Makes illogical sense if not elevated though….just haven’t seen the specific research. Could just send a pubmed citation if you have it handy!
Makes sense as long as you know your current blood values. I’m also overdue for a full metabolic panel (been a few months and values were just a bit higher than normal so thought better safe than sorry!), but wanted to get this done now as it’ll take awhile to get my next test complete and...
Yeah me neither. No excuse…just put it off even though I know it’s generally good for my health let alone helping others. Surprised they haven’t rolled up in the blood mobile based on the number of calls and emails I’ve been getting as I have that golden O blood.
Been a bit but finally got my double reds donated today. Hematocrit and RBC have typically been a bit elevated (not so much now that I’m not on cycle). However, always strongly suggest donating blood especially if you have prior history being enhanced as well as if you have a genetic...
Then if looking for a belt squat belt not just for belt squats but also weighted dips or pull-ups, definitely go with Spud. Was recommended to me on here and glad I asked!
I think tight is still used but “cool” has been phased out. I’ve had to learn so many abbreviations from my son texting. Also emojis mean various things. This emoji took me a bit to get it means dying laughing. 💀
Haha all good. My oldest is about to start high school so got a tour of the gym. Came back to me and said he can do way more stuff in my half 2 car garage when he saw all the fluff equipment they have there. Just have to be creative. All the machine equipment in gyms that really just do one...
