Been inspired by seeing all the pics of smoking meat on here so it’s my first go on the Weber. 5 hours country style ribs. I know it’s not good for cholesterol but have been doing good and kids really wanted ribs.
I use to do lots of cooking and baking in winter months when kids were small. Became a hobby of mine. Now picking things up and putting them down is my hobby!!! But still find time now and then to do some baking.
Man I haven’t got on the smoker game yet but looks good.
Special for me today was some ahi tuna steaks. Rarely buy them but was on sale. I’ve been cutting down so cuts of beef are tough to fit in my calories so haven’t had it in a while. This thread might make me go pick up a ribeye if I stay on too long haha
Best foods are by season so you have fresh earth(not hydroponic) grown produce. Fall for me is pumpkin squash apples wild grapes puffball mushrooms. Can’t beat it with a stick!!! Google makes it easy what to do with it all. When we do seasonal stuff we do a bunch and freeze it or can it so it’s ready to go through the year as needed. Good things to do on deload days.
Love tuna I got a grass fed steer for $1000 and butchering cost all in all cost me $2.50 per pound that’s meat and bones. Keep all the bones like to make bone broth. Picking up the meat Monday. Can’t wait. Nice lean beef. Which normally I like it fatty but cycles and me and animal fats don’t mix well for my blood.
