Are Genetics The Most Overlooked Factor In PED Use…?

I swear, this one hits people right in the ego. You bring up genetics and suddenly everyone becomes a victim of circumstance “bro, I just don’t grow,” or “my receptors are different,” or “I need more gear than the average guy.”
Meanwhile, you look at the freaks of the world, looking like grown adults at 18 before they ever touched a weight and you realize some people are just cut from a different mold. Examples of guys like Lee Priest at sixteen looking like he could walk into a national show. That’s not training wizardry or secret compounds that’s genetics doing 80% of the lifting before he even entered a gym.

And on the flip side, you’ve got the guys who hop on every super-stack known to mankind, and still look the same year after year. They’ll blame their test, blame their lab, blame their estrogen, blame the moon cycle anything except the real culprit,no structure,no consistency,no nutrition,no understanding of how PEDs actually work
or, the uncomfortable truth, you can’t out inject genetics. But here’s where it gets interesting. Genetics don’t just determine your potential, they determine, how you respond to testosterone, how much estrogen you convert, whether you blow up or stay the same on moderate doses, whether you get every side effect in the book, or barely any even whether lethargy, appetite, or RBC becomes your limiting factor I’ve seen guys who grow like weeds off basic cycles. I’ve seen guys who take a kitchen sink cycle and barely move the needle. Some people just don’t grow period. Others touch a barbell and they explode. I’ve said this exact thing, some people have bad genetics and get all the side effects with none of the good stuff.

So here’s the debate, Do PED users underestimate genetic limits, or overestimate them? Are guys using “bad genetics” as an excuse for poor execution… or are others delusional about how far gear can actually push them?

Genetics is king.

The high end pro s&c coaches will tell you that you are either born with speed or you’re not. They can make a fast real fast but they can’t make normal fast into world class athletes.

Top strength athletes and bb’s were born with everything in place and capitalized on it.

Im not taking anything away from anyone. Those top tier athletes worked their butts off to get there.

Peds… I also believe some folks are genetically predisposed to “best results” while others could do lots of harm to themselves.

There’s a site somewhere i ran across that showed some competitors on stage. Something like when bad genetics cross with steroids.
