Bloodwork + 2022 Year in Review

Really had a lot of positive achievements this year. With help from UG I was able to get my protocol dialed in better, understanding what I tolerate well/ not so well, identify and mitigate sides, and get prescriptions for medicines which will help longevity in the future. This place is fucking invaluable to me, thank you all!

Any feedback on the below would be appreciated…there are always things others see in different ways to consider.

Notes:
  • Still experimenting with the VB model of maximum dosage without AI that is well tolerated.
  • Macros seem not dialed in
2022 The Good:
  • +4lbs of muscle (Bod Pod)
  • Set 9 PR this year
  • 90% recovered from knee surgery
  • Currently on a well tolerated protocol of Test/Primo/NPP
  • Test, Free Test numbers (micro dosing, raised Test dose)
  • No AI (Primo)
  • Shoulder/elbow pain mostly gone (TB-500 , BPC 157, resting more, skipping movements that affect)
  • Identified some libido issues and can addressed as needed (high prolactin)
2023 Needs Work:
  • Explosive Bidirectional movements. I want competitively play sports ball and ski again
  • +4lbs of Fat (Bod Pod) (walking +2 miles most days, limit alcohol during week, cut calories 300 day)
  • Single digit SHBG (trying Turkesterone to increase to double digits)
  • Lipids (continuing oatmeal, red yeast rice, 4g Omegas day)
  • Prolactin (prami .50mg week as needed)
  • Started Nebivolol 2.5mg daily for additional BP support thank you, again @Neuro
Changes:
  • Reduce Test to 252 from 280 b/c of some acne sides
  • May reduce Primo to maintain 1:1 and NPP to maintain 1:2 ratio (want to see if it is needed 1st)
  • I don’t want to use prami (makes me tired) but B6, P-5-P, and Vitamin E did little to help
  • Added Omega 3-6-9 in addition to EPA and DHA Omegas b/c hair test showed a deficiency
  • May discontinue HcG and see if my numbers hold (seemed to be the magic bullet for me in 2022)
  • Discontinue TB-500 and BPC 157 when shoulders are healed

Mid 40’s need to be weighted into whatever I think so grading on a scale…I feel at worst i am maintaining if not improving my well being. I feel best when I am able to compete with myself and others AND am able to recover from those workouts. I am learning to train within myself and my limitations better and in so doing, I am adjusting my expectations which needs to happen as we get slower i mean older. I know I need way way way more time to warm up and I know I need deloads during the year which I need to do more often. I am at the point where I know I am strong but don’t need to prove it every workout. I am happy to “flash” it when needed so I don’t pay for the max effort stuff as much or as often. Higher volume with lower weights work needs to be folded in more to help with other goals.

Life’s stressors are always there needing to be minimized. CBD in lieu of alcohol seems to help mentally, physically, and spiritually.

2023 will be another amazing year of transition and transcendence for me and my family. It will have losses and beauty and achievements and milestones and teaching moments… all things to embrace. After all; when we become stagnant, when we become set in our ways… life has a way of passing us by.
