Finished my cycle and am considering TRT

I’m at the end of my cycle
The last 3 weeks I did a TRT dose
180mg a week in 3 shots

Im going to come off and check my Test after the PCT
Im 30 years old and I like the feeling of TRT but I feel I can squeeze out at least 5-10 more years with my natural Test levels

I will eventually go on TRT I believe.

Thoughts about TRT, do you like it? Do you wish you waited? Or started earlier ? Or wish you stayed natty

I guess in a body builder or any sports perspective it is needed in the later ages. Especially sports where the recovery makes all the difference so you can put in more time with your craft

Thoughts?

BIG question brother.

Let me start with y’all are way more smarter and have access to way more info than me and my generation did.

I started blindly in my mid/late 20’s. (Mid 1980’s) and used this stuff on and off for the next 20 years or so with wanton disregard. Some time in my 40’s I went “on” and stayed there until my early/mid 50’s then went on scripted trt from doc.

I can answer one of your questions with extreme prejudice…NO I DONT LIKE TRT. Having to pin a couple times a week is aggravating is as anything! BUT the alternative is not attractive to me. I’m 61 and extremely active. I have friends and neighbors that are my age (give or take) that act like they’re 100 yo. That’s unacceptable to me. I have much unfinished business to attend to before I die.

If I knew then what I know now… can’t call it brother. I just can’t give you a good honest answer. I never pct’d off and my T always rebounded. As a young man I was always very healthy and recovered from everything very well.

Let me ponder this some more….

I am not on the “pinning sucks” bandwagon. It doesn’t bother me, and is just part of the morning routine…so I say this assuming this isn’t an issue.

For me, I wish I had found my way to TRT in my mid 30’s. The recovery it provides from hard workouts is unmatched and the ability to maintain gained muscle is remarkable. TRT pulled me out of a mental blackhole that i didn’t knew i fell in and helped give me enough energy to again participate in life at a level where you just don’t feel like you’re treading water.

All of this would have been nice to avoid, if only I knew now what i knew then. It’s not magic, although it is marketed as such, but I feel it gets you back to your natural homeostatic set point.

I will also say that I think the slow consistent gains TRT provides are much more desirable then, what seems to be, the roller coaster ride that is cycling.

If you were to use VB model and find your maximum individual healthy sustainable tolerance, you may just get the best of both worlds.

It comes down to what your goals are, I think…so I will ask you what are your individual goals going forward? @GillyTheKid

What is VB model?

As for pinning I don’t mind it at all, I use an half an inch pins right in my thigh and it’s not to big where it bothers me and I don’t get lumps and it’s 9/10 smooth

For my goals is I want to stay active and strong and do jiu jitsu which I am doing now. I think TRT will be apart of my life eventually

I think I’m going to come off and get my testosterone tested right after because it would be low so I can get a real script for it

Or wait and just do that later

I just started a week ago on TRT at 33. I think an important question to ask is if you don’t do TRT, how often are you going to be running a cycle? If your going to be blasting for 3 months, then taking PCT drugs like nolva & clomid, then repeating indefinitely for years to come, I’d argue it’s easier on the body to just stay on TRT and avoid the harsh PCT drugs. I do agree with it being a pain in the ass to pin, but like @Kad1 said, cost of doing business, alternative is feeling like crap.

Shit i wish i would’ve found it earlier. Not for lifting just for well being and energy. I got a hard job and man my test was natty like 178 ir some shit when i got it checked years back. Live it pinning is meh kinda forgettable unless im running a full cycle but i use 27g .5 in slin pins i get off amazon and life is better

Agreed…. I believe @Neuro said something to same effect. “The HPTA is not designed to be shutdown and restarted”

Yes man they jad me come off of it completely to try and find out if that was causing it and i had a test level of 9 for a couple weeks and that sucked

My only concern is I still want and I haven’t had children yet, I’ve been on HCG the last three weeks.

If I do stay on TRT I want to it the right way and go through a doctor and get a script for Test and HCG
