How did carol end up with the zoo I thought that the scam artists got control and the other animal owner partnered with them and they were redoing the whole property?

Apparently she had sued Joe and won 1 million in the settlement, he didn’t pay so that property for that original zoo was awarded to her along with 13 big cats.
