@Poppy, I work out of a combo hall, plumbers and steam fitters, all the plumbers in my union claim to be welders, and they’re garbage… I would imagine, if you can at least get 2 pieces of metal to stick together well enough to hold weight, you’re better than any of those assholes claim to be.
LOL. Yeah, I once spent an afternoon TIG welding stainless exhaust pipes (very poorly, I might add). I did it in a shortsleeve shirt. I had quite a tan on my arms when I was done!
I had pieces and parts to an old cheap barbell I broke. I beat them on a piece of 1 inch pipe. Where the barbell ends are placed also serves as a positive stop for kickstand so you can just slam it forward against the stops when you’re done.
Wifeys going to order a nice spud belt for birthday so I’m thinking that’ll help. Of course I’ll sweat it up and make it look ugly like everything else.
The bolt holding it to the rack will be replaced. It’s 1/2 inch now. Probably go with 5/8 or 3/4… whatever size fits in my rack. The bolt holding the kickstand on needs a self locking nut…
I say all that… it’ll probably be like it is now for a while.
Well beings i have the legendary poppy inseam of little to none and it works for me… everyone else will be perfect although I haven’t had a training partner in years.
