Guns and you on a daily basis

No conceal carry. Afraid of making myself a target when government gets stupid. Don’t want the label.
Have a desert eagle 40 with crimson trace laser, no paper. A bit snappy but practice gets me use to it.
Also a baby eagle 9mm.

Only carry when working in big cities.

Shot gun for home defense. Can’t beat a shotgun for close range.

I used to keep a few loaded shotguns behind doors, never had to worry about any of the girls messing with them because they never got into guns. Now that we have our grandson a lot, the shotguns are put up and the pistols are WAY out of his reach.

This is so important to keeping the second amendment. Keeping children away from guns unless supervised is extremely important.

I truly believe in teaching kids that guns are extremely dangerous and educate them about what can happen if they touch a gun without supervision or not being at the range. Teaching them that you only point a gun at something that you are going to kill should be taught a little after look both ways before crossing the street. Education about guns will stop gun accidents this is a proven fact.

Also keeping guns out of the hands of teenagers who are fueling the hatred towards guns because there killing each other in record numbers.
Most teenagers with firearms are stolen from vehicles and houses. Please keep your guns locked up and have your protection piece ready to go this way they and everyone knows who they are can’t twist things and say that children aren’t safe because of gun ownership.

I agree 100%! I took hunters education and firearm safety in 1989, I was the only non adult in the class. My dad would have beat me bloody when I was a kid if K would have played with the guns, and he made sure before I ever got to shoot them I knew how to respect them and how much damage they could do. I taught my daughters how to shoot and to respect firearms, not with an iron fist like my dad taught me, and none of them really got into it more than to go out with me a couple times then they were over it.

I respect your father very much without ever meeting him and you also for educating your children because that’s exactly it they have firearm classes for kids 13 and up designed to make them understand that real life isn’t a movie people don’t get shot and just walk away.

I don’t go shooting as much as I used too. I do keep a CZ P09 9mm, and a Savage 10 FCP-SR .308 . And all the reloading supplies needed for a life time of ammo. I’m only really concerned about home defense, and survival. Growing up in the swamp lands of Florida, survivalist mentality is just normal. Hurricanes happen, things flood, supply chains get cut, everyone has learned how to live on their own.
