High Doses Of HGH Can Impair Recovery

Hi everyone!

I'm new here, but I’d like to share some thoughts about HGH, specifically in the context of recovery and how incorrect dosing can actually slow down the healing process instead of supporting it.

It’s commonly said that HGH aids in recovery — whether in sports or post-injury — and that’s true. But just like in any field, there are rules to the game :)

When HGH is used improperly, especially during regenerative therapy, athletic preparation, or rehab, it can delay recovery or even make things worse.

Why? Because we’re all different — we have various conditions, imbalances, and unique needs that must be considered when using HGH and designing the right protocol.

One of the most important aspects is the metabolic system, particularly insulin and glucose regulation. Real HGH increases IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor), which — if not properly managed — can disrupt blood sugar balance.

Combined with a poorly structured diet, this can lead to inflammation triggered by elevated glucose levels.

And here comes the paradox — HGH requires proper carbohydrate intake to provide strength and energy, but the type and timing of those carbs need to be well planned to avoid hormonal disruption. It’s not as simple as it seems.

Next up is cortisol. HGH strongly stimulates the adrenal glands, which increases cortisol levels. This can lead to insomnia, irritability, mood swings, and in response, the body raises prolactin to protect itself.

Unfortunately — in that fight, you’re not going to win :)

This is also a common reason why some people experience erectile dysfunction while using HGH — elevated prolactin disrupts hormonal balance, lowers testosterone, and in turn reduces estradiol. Estradiol is crucial for building connective tissues, so instead of helping your body heal, you could end up doing more harm than good.

Another important point is the immune system, and what I call the "holy trinity": thyroid, pancreas, and liver.

I’ve already touched on the pancreas and insulin resistance.

The thyroid also suffers with HGH use, which is why even low doses require a well-balanced diet with proper carbohydrates to maintain healthy function.

And then there’s the liver — HGH needs to be metabolized by the liver to effectively increase IGF-1, the key player in regeneration.

Many people say, “HGH doesn’t work for me,” and it turns out they have insulin resistance or even diabetes. In such cases, HGH use should be limited or micro-dosed.

Without a properly functioning liver, you’ll lose all the benefits of HGH and just burden your body even further.

That’s why liver health is essential — not just in the context of HGH, but overall.

Now, about dosage — there’s no such thing as a “safe dose for everyone.”

One person may already experience negative effects at 2 IU, while another might tolerate 4–5 IU without issue. It all depends on your health, hormonal balance, and overall condition.

Dosing must always be individualized, because HGH is a fantastic compound — but only if you understand how to use it properly.

Alright, I went on a bit of a rant 😄

But if you found this helpful or interesting, let me know — maybe I’ll share more in the future.

And if not — no worries 😉

Best regards,
