Discover Why Cannabis Could Be The Pre-Workout Boost You’re Missing

By Naomi C. Abrams

Summer is here, and quarantine threw many of our fitness goals to the wayside.

The good news is, cannabis could be the perfect way to boost your energy and focus before a workout.

In the past, cannabis was said to make people lazy and unmotivated, but that is not the case. The right strain of medical marijuana can leave you feeling invigorated, energized, and ready to smash your fitness goals. From boosting endorphins to decreasing anxiety and pain, there are many ways cannabis could help your exercise routine thrive.

Let’s take a look at the many benefits of cannabis as a pre-workout tool.

How Can Cannabis Help As A Pre-Workout?

If you’re feeling tired, sluggish, and unmotivated, cannabis could give you an enjoyable pre-workout boost. The reason behind this is that the THC helps boost endorphins and dopamine, creating a euphoric and elevated mood. It could also help you focus on maintaining proper form during exercise and allow for more intentional breathing.

If aches and pains used to stop you from wanting to exercise, cannabis could be an excellent option for you. Known to reduce inflammation and pain THC and CBD act together in the body to enable a sense of ease and stasis.

Starting a new exercise routine (or joining a new gym) can be intimidating. Many patients turn to medical marijuana for its benefits in reducing anxiety and stress.

Cannabis is known to invoke a feeling of calm and well-being, and this could help make your workouts more enjoyable.

Finally, did you know that cannabis could improve metabolism and increase your body’s ability to burn fat? According to several studies cited in Men’s Health , cannabis users are less likely to be obese, tend to have trimmer waistlines, and often have lower cholesterol levels than non-users.

I totally agree, I lift 5 days a week, extremely heavy compound movements.

The greenery (medical marijuana card) helps greatly with inflammation, invoking hunger and most importantly can put that ass in a deep sleep.

I’m a major advocator of this plant, I’m really happy to see more lifters utilize this plant responsibly.
