I’m always looking for a way to make my meal prep process, faster, easier and tastier. of course there’s nothing wrong with the conventional way of throwing chicken breast on a pan and toss in oven. however, I’ve invested some time and money into new ways of meal prepping.

Air fryer - amazing gadget, keeps meats juicy and cooks quickly, only thing is its only meant to cook maybe 2 or 3 meals at a time. takes a bit longer to prep for several days of meal kits but TOTALLY worth it. when i was working from home i was using this everyday, without fail

Instant Pot - this is becoming my FAVORITE gadget for meal prep, it can cook whole meals at once, can prep for 2 full days easy in one go, but my most favorite thing about it is, the meats we pan fry or bake that become chewie, NEVER happens with an instant pot. the tougher meats we cook become SUPER soft and stays juicy, also the pressure cooker seals in the flavor. its honestly cutting my meal prep time by half. when im bored i youtube instant pot recipes and its become a hobbie for me now.

just my 2 cents

The gadgets make the difference for meal prep.

I DESPISE left over chicken breast that’s just grilled or cooked in a pan. But chicken breast on a slow cooker on low for 8 hours cooked in a sugar free marinade is my go-to. So much better.

Big thing for everyone is you don’t have to be miserable when dieting or cooking healthier foods, you gotta find a method that works for you

Instapot is the way to go - I throw in 5lbs chicken Breast with some garlic/ onions / salt / pepper. And 1 cup of chicken bone broth and set the pot on high for 35 minutes. It’s great when done you can take tongs and shred the chicken. So easy to eat / melts in the mouth.

Never tried a insta-pot. Just use my old crock pot. But hey, might have to ask for one for Christmas from the fiancé or something haha. They just seemed small to me at first but sounds like you can fit a lot in

couldnt agree more. my 40 year taste buds are FAR different from my 25 year old taste buds. i could eat 5 day old chicken breast not care back then. now i have to have it a certain way. but like you said ill eat slow cooker meat ALL day no problem

Love my instant pot, also fun fact you can use it as a rice cooker too.

One thing that’s been super useful in meat meal prep for me has been a sous vide machine. Put a crap ton of chicken breast or steak in a vacuum sealed bag, set the temp and I got meat for days.

I’m still doing the old fashioned 5 pounds of chicken breast at a time in the oven I do brine them overnight to help with my sodium intake and
They seem to stay pretty juicy. Also change what seasoning I use each week so to not get boring.

see now thats something Ive always wanted to try. i will take my first crack at it over the holidays, thanks for the idea

i agree. the old fashioned way has fed as for many years, and if you have the right spices and brine your meat tastes just as good if not better than coming straight off grill.
