Welcome Moose! I have to agree with you about the local gyms and the general atmosphere. I have found the “light” and now fully workout in the comfort of my own home/garage. Wish I went this direction sooner, as I love having the gym to myself, able to blast whatever music I want to (well depending the time and day as I have my own zoo here with the wife and 5 kids under 13), and of course the convenience! I do sometimes miss people watching with those knuckleheads that find the strangest variations of exercises that are ridiculous, let alone possibly are a threat towards injuring themselves. This is an awesome place and seems to be comprised of a small army of veterans, particularly Marines. Great information can be found on virtually any topic. I’ve learned a lot from just reading through the thousands of posts at my fingertips.

We should get people to post pictures of their home gyms. Sometimes I make shit with stuff I have laying around for instance I made v dip bars, neutral grip pull up bars, pull up bar, just made a cable crossover system, I get creative and do donkey calf raises using my dip belt and a cable machine, I do enjoy no lines for equipment, I don’t miss being around people doing silly exercises that don’t work, love playing my music and I can flex in my mirror and not feel stupid LOL. Home gyms have advantages. I have a multi press rack and half power rack so I can spot myself and not crush my throat when benching

Agree brother. I haven’t been in a gym in 15 years until last month. Been at home. My buddy bought a powerlifting gym. It’s pretty bad ass. I popped in there to show support.
