I’ve had a lifelong completely unofficial study on human nature. I’ve came to many conclusions over the decades. I’m still discovering new “ism’s” as I age.

One trait I’ve noticed in many humans is the ability to break their own rules. For example: they will give out advice like It’s complete fact then turn right around and do the exact opposite.

I’ve found that if you let (some) folks run their soup sucker long enough, they’ll completely contradict theirselves in the future…in action or with a different explanation/fact.

The trick here is paying attention to what they say and remembering it which leads to another trait.

Most folks hate being confronted with “facts” they puked out while they’re doing the opposite. Don’t get me wrong, there’s many that’ll admit to either being mistaken/misinformed or that they’re just breaking their own rules just cuz.

I’ve got hundreds of examples of these behaviors but my hands hurt and this much texting gets a little painful.

I think an important caveat to this is the rare people who are able to change their stance in light of new information, rather than digging their heels into what they once “knew” If I went back and read some of the “knowledge” that I spouted off on here several years ago I would be embarrassed by what I thought I knew.

Back in early mid 80’s…a common protocol was to take xxxx oral is to take a bunch til your liver hurts and/or frequent nose bleeds then back off a little.

How bout that for ever evolving…

Luckily I always had a healthy respect for this stuff and kind of considered the dudes abusing aas as azzclowns.

My assessment was correct. Not one of them turned pro or even competed in anything and ended up being the gym hero for a very brief time with lifetime problems.

Love the rant. So true. Takes clarity, candor and above all courage to admit breaking your own rules, not following your own advice, or changing your mind about something. We all do it. Some of us just deny it up and down until we are blue in the face, and that’s pitiful.

I give advice and don’t follow it but I also disclaim I don’t do as I say to do

I completely understand 💯💯

Also came to the conclusion, have to keep my mental sanity at ALL times. Keep my circle tight, don’t let anyone in. Same goes to my opinion, comments, concerns inside.
