Surgery last Wednesday

Welp. Double hernia operation on Wednesday. Wish I could say it was from lifting a godawful amount of weight. But. Sneezed super hard and bloop. It happened. Apparently it’s common with gents my age. Well, it’s a 6 week break for me. I’ll be back sooner than later.

Not too bad. Next day pain Friday was better. Saturday I’m at a reception about 6 spiced rums deep. No dancing tho. That might be a couple weeks.

First… speedy recovery. You’re a tough ole coot, I’m pretty sure you’ll be back in warrior shape by spring.

Second… please do tell about the sneeze/hernia thing for old guys. One more eff’n thing to be cautious of. You’re right…I don’t care for this whole “aging thing” either…sucks!!!

I have a bad habit of holding my sneezes in while I’m in the office. My coworkers have even commented on it. It’s not painful (yet) but I probably need to let them fly into my arm or a tissue.

Don’t hold sneezes in. Surgeon was like the worst thing you can do is hold a sneeze. All kinds of stuff like brain aneurism and things like what I did. I’m a loud sneezer and hold that stuff in. Not any more. if you have history of hernias, that is another factor. So get some cleanex and let them fly.

The closest I’ve come to that was sneezing while I was taking a shit. That mother fucker shot out so quick it was like Mach 5 coming out my ass. No hernia though… but I surprised the fuck out of that toilet and myself… @TBU

This was when I was in high school I just attributed it with getting muscle but it downs t happen now so who knows. Maybe I was trying to hold the sneeze in back then. Just let her rip now

Idk what is supposed to feel like but damn. I coughed real hard today and my left pelvic area ain’t no joke. Just laying in bed I can feel the shit. Weird dull pain that increases when strained.
