@johnjuanb1 has been posting some pro wrestlers lately. It started me thinking of my childhood and some of the local characters in the Detroit metro area when I was a kid.

Anyone care to hazard a guess?

Hints… tim the tool man taylor referenced the dark fella on his show a couple of times. The lighter fella was parodied in a morning radio talk show in the area.

More clues

The dark guy is considered the jackie robinson of pro wrestling.

The light guy was a pro football player prior to wrestling.

Nope. He had the original gravely voice. They had a morning skit with him (a dude with the gravely voice) on the radio not too long ago. He’s been dead a while of course.

Hint. He was billed as the world’s most dangerous wrestler… beings he was originally from the Indianapolis area…David letterman named his house band after him the world’s most dangerous band.
