So I grew up in a farmer family everyone was farmers. I left for the Corps because being a dirt farmer wasn’t my thing. Anyways. I’ve always had a soft spot for farming community and try to buy farm to table food. Especially beef. Here’s a picture of a couple steaks I had for dinner. 1.5 pounds of meat. Strip steaks. 5 of them for 55 bucks. And absolutely delicious. If you can. Support your local farmers. Plus get a great deal. There are apps you can get that will direct you to the markets best suited for you. Trust me. You’ll never be disappointed. 😁

It’s an hour drive for me. Worth every penny. Chicken. Beef. Hog. You can fill out what you want tell them when you are coming. Ready to pick up. 5 of these at a grocery store or some other market would be 80-90 bucks and god knows how long they sit. Most of this is culled a couple days before pickup. That’s the downside tho. I forgot to mention. They wait till a whole sale of animal is done. But. I’ve never waited more than a week. Order Monday. Pick up on the weekend.

Do they charge alot for shipping because I tried another steak company it was crazy expensive and crazy small really good but what I received wasn’t worth it?

Well here’s a little bit of information. That bright red meat you think is fresh at the store? It’s dye. As meat ages it turns a bit gray as the blood leaves the meat. So red doesn’t mean fresh. Usually means it’s been hanging in the fridge for a while. If you look at mine you’ll see the gray starting to show. Just because it was about 7 days before I cooked them.

I’m telling you. Look for farm to market places or farm to table places in your AO. It’s worth the drive. You will never be disappointed AND you can help a farmer. ANF.

It’s funny how that I live in a more rural suburb rather than in the city like I did I have less access to straight from farm
Meat abs such. Then again I lived 2 blocks from the main farmers market in Cincinnati live Findlay market was always a nice place
To meet people before getting into shenanigans

That makes me wish my father in law was still a livestock farmer. I get in on quarter cows or half hogs with him from time to time, as well as my dad from some of the livestock guys who live around him, but not as much as when my father in law still had cattle and hogs

Looks great brother. And ya I butcher some animals myself. They don’t ever look pink It goes from dark
Red to gray like you said. I have a farmer by me and we get three beef per year from him. This is for two families. He raises them how we want as far as diet goes and we target just around 1000 pounds live weight. That’s our preference. Can’t get that from Wally world
