I did it for almost 8yrs and I will be homeless before I get back on a roof. Everything you use is a carcinogen its to dangerous I should have been paid 50$ an hr for hazard pay
On the roof its 130 degrees if its 100 outside.
The tar paper and everything holds heat and your usually in parapit walls on commercial buildings no air flow at all its almost to much and some days you do have to call it when multiple crew members fall out. Smh it was crazy
Wow brother yeah that shit is serious I have a couple buddies dealing with it I thank God got indoors because it was a young mans game I knew it would kill me and it wasn’t worth working there with other work available. I would never go back. I even wear sunscreen to mow the lawn. Im always worried about it
