Arthrofibrosis after ACL

Brothers & sisters, does anyone have experience with arthrofibrosis after ACL surgery that can offer advice? I’m 5 weeks post op ACL reconstruction using tissue from my quad. My ROM is only 90 degrees…120 is the goal. My body has produced a great deal of scar tissue limiting this. My surgeon says that if I can’t break up the scarring in the next two weeks he’ll have to go back in and scrape it out. I’d prefer not go this route.
Thanks!

I’ve had both knees worked on. I hooked a rope on the end of my foot and would lay on my belly quad flat on the deck and pull them as far as I could over my shoulder as many times a day that I could… Multiple days. Sat the stationary bike seat on the lowest level and pedaled backwards until I could go forward. I had a brute of a physical therapist that I told I was done with surgery and he beat my ass. (Knees). I don’t know if you can do these or not. But it was my method and worked for me. I wanted one and done surgery. And lots of Motrin before therapy. Good ole Naval 800mg Motrin. 2 before working it out. And lots of water and clean socks. 😂
