August 1 whatever thread

I’d like to go to the boundary waters. Get way up in one of the sections where they only allow so many people per year. Live off the land for a few weeks. That would be my ideal decompression time. More of a dream really. I wouldn’t mind taking my son. But the wife and daughters would complain too much lol
 
That can be the Ug muscle annual conference way the hell up in the boundary waters everyone makes their own way. No alphabet guys there. Hahaha

I spend a lot of time on the apostle islands in the summer to. Nice to just get away, and relax with nothing but water on all sides and wilderness surrounding you.

Throw out the lines and catch some pike and salmon. One of the few places on the lake that the water is still crystal clear.

You from way up north eh!!! Ya I’ve never been I have seen pics though. It is beautiful there. I find my way out on some big stone break wall in the harbor and float eggs for salmon or soak alewives. My go to happy place.
 
Was planning a day on the scoot… well, the wife and I were. It’s raining on and off so the wife is like no fucking way… So, the question is, do I say fuck it and go on my own and pay the price later? OR invite my club over and have a party… Either way I’m fucked. 😂
 
Disregard @TBU have the club, over, keep wife semi happy AND you don’t have to limit your beers cause you don’t gotta drive

My parents use to live in There on the Eau Claire River. It is beautiful. Ya it’s not as far north as what I was thinking when you said apostle islands. That’s ok. The flat landers think the Dells is the North Woods.
 
My wife’s daughter is coming over tonight for her bday, alas her dipshit boyfriend is coming too. I usually get along with everyone, but this kid has stolen from us, is super controlling of her, and for God knows why she stays with him. God better give me the strength to not strangle this kid tonight.
 
Haha very true. I do love living on the shores of lake Superior though, it’s a pain in the ass to drive for hours to reach a bigger city if you really want to do some shopping, but I’ll take it.

I hope I never have to deal with my daughters having a shithead boyfriend. My son does something stupid I just smack him on the back of the head and call him a dufus. My daughter get hurt and I feel like I wanna kill!!
 
My wife’s best friend is getting married today! They’ve been planning this for months… and we woke up today to tornado warnings! So if anyone’s interested I can send you my location… one clean shot in the head would be preferable, take me out quickly! You can have my gear stash as payment…
