Breathing rhythm while running?

For long distance running, especially for time, I lengthen my stride and run with an inhale through my nose for about 3 to 4 strides then exhale quickly out of my mouth which usually takes less than a stride. For sprints I breath with my mouth slightly open through my nose and mouth together and breath out of my mouth
 
I sometimes struggle breathing though my nose. Lately Ive tried 2 steps in and 2 steps out, but also feel at that rate sometimes im panting after a little while.
 
In through your nose out through your mouth.
Try using the breathing strips if you can’t get enough air through also you have albuterol or ventolin if you want to go that route
 
I have had my nose broken probably 4 or 5 times so i have a kot of trouble breathing through my nose as is. It just takes more practice and trust in your self. When I first tried that method I failed more often than not. The key is to sort of flair your nostriles and breathe in through your nose for longer. If you have to, open your mouth every few times and get a little more air in while simultaneously breathing through your nose. But go back to the nose only to inhale when you catch your breath
