Choosing The Right Compunds ?

I wanted to open up a conversation about how everyone goes about choosing the right compounds for their cycles. A lot of people base their decisions on what they see online or what someone else is running, but there is a whole layer of reasoning that rarely gets talked about. Every compound has its own feel, its own rate of progression, its own side effect profile, and its own impact on strength, fullness, and day to day performance. Some drugs deliver a fast punch that changes your look in a week while others are slow burners that build a consistent physique over time. Some keep your appetite high and your head clear while others hit harder but come with trade offs you have to manage.

I think it would help the whole community if we broke down what actually guides people toward certain choices. Are you deciding based on previous cycles and what your body responded to the best. Are you structuring things around the look you want to bring for the season. Do you consider bloodwork first or do you pick your compounds and then work backwards to manage your markers. How much weight do you put on sides like sleep, mental clarity, digestion, libido, or even how dry or full you tend to look. These are things most lifters think about privately but rarely explain in detail.

Sharing the reasoning behind your choices might help others avoid mistakes and build smarter, more effective plans. Open discussion for anyone who wants to talk about how they decide what to run, why they choose certain compounds over others, and how those decisions shape their progress.

You guys are so great at coming up with threads, breathing new life into things.

1. When I first start dabbling with gear? It started out based on “safety”. For a long time I was primarily focused on longevity and never ran much gear. Wanted to run the safest amount for the longest time. Things changed now I’m down the road of competing.

2. Now? what’s my goal. I wish I had learned this earlier. Strategic use is the unsung hero. Don’t use mast bc instagram loves it. Don’t dose you GH through the day because the guy on the forum said so. Be specific in your goal, and that should dictate how and what you do.

As always just my opinion.

Also if you have medical conditions, and you know XYZ compound exacerbates it… just don’t.

Glad to hear 🙏 appreciate you guys participating makes it worth it !

As well as good response , I believe as we go into our journey we learn how to choose the correct compounds and what works as we all react differently, there are many factors that come to play and we must learn and listen to our bodies as we continue

Awesome topic.

Early years was all about what is the strongest fastest strength and mass builder. Size first and what is safety?

After using a number of different products I have kind of narrowed down what works best for me and what side effects I can work around and which ones I can't tolerate.

Short esters definitely work better for me as far as sides go but sometimes have to run longer esters due to schedule, being busy... Hard to keep track and make time for ED or EOD pins sometimes. I love NPP but cannot manage the sides with Deca.

Never used Mast for decades because it was "weak" and " not worth it if you weren't single digit bf"... but now it's one of my favorites even at higher bf %.

Having liver disease now as a result of decades of bad decisions that definitely plays a roll in cycle decisions. Blood pressure always has but now I'm a little more cautious as far as that goes. Bloodwork pre and during cycle definitely affects my decisions now. Never even did it when I was younger.

Goals are not a lot different than when I was younger but my decisions are a little less reckless and more focused on health now. I love M1T. Fist compound I ever used as a supplement in the prohoromonene era. I will be running some soon but my liver and kidney blood work is all in order and I will check 2 weeks in and see if I can go a 3rd or 4th week. I used to run it for 6 weeks or more til I was sick and jaundiced.

Definitely run much less everything on cycle in general now as well.
