Covid 19- ACE2 receptors in testicles/ HPTA damage

Anyone do a lot of research on Covid? I been digging in on it and thought this was interesting. Super high concentration of ACE2 receptors in testicles so Covid can potentially cause reproductive issues and also may damage the HPTA directly in pituitary gland. Curious if anyone is familiar with this? Maybe @NeuroRN ? I can attach a link to what I was reading if that’s allowed. Got me thinking it seems like a manufactured attack on masculinity but I can sometimes be a conspiracy theorist haha.

It’s all so convoluted it could be true. We haven’t been testing hormones of these patients no matter how many times I ask.

Interesting stuff. Like you said seems like more in depth studies and long term ones would need to be done. I saw a few other articles just about low test in patients recovering from C19, but from what I can read they can’t tell if covid caused it, or if the low T was primary before getting it.

It’s hard Bc most with severe covid are already chronically ill, obese, diabetics, so who knows what their test was before hand. But it makes logical sense to me.

There’s been several grown men die “with” covid locally here. I knew them well. They were all in extremely poor health with all the things you have listed. They were on borrowed time with or without covid.

That’s the big thing that hasn’t been answered by the “authorities”

Dying with covid is waaayyy different than dying from covid.

It is way different. But if you have all that going on and you get covid. You’re dying from covid. Slowly. Painfully. Looking like a fish out of water on the vent until your family decides to withdrawal care. It’s one of the worst ways to go that I’ve ever seen.
