300 is tough up there cause a lot of movement. If there is any wind I pass or wait at that distance. I did miss a couple trophy’s at 300 cause I Got excited and forgot about ballistics. Was using a 308 drops a lot. @John you sound a lot like my friend George. He’s all iron sites. At 100 yards that’s ok. Takes a bit more practice too! I love shooting 556 within 100 if it has a peep sight.

We have ten days for rifle. But there are a few special seasons we can use them for metro areas and special farmland areas for doe only where there are too many deer. My wife and son used a 3030 their first few years. It’s a great deer gun. And a very stable bullet. Not much for distance though. Drops a lot at long distances. My younger son likes to take shots at deer 275 plus cause he just can’t wait lol. So we got him a .270 browning ABolt for his birthday last year and a great scope with mildots. My parents and I and oldest son went in and combined his birthday and Christmas present that year. He never hit them with the 3030 but shouldn’t have an issue with the .270. You and I can hit them at that distance with a 3030 he just don’t have the experience yet.

Never been there brother. Hope I never have to be. My dad told me a story when he had his sights on a kid under a fuel tank and he was laced with explosive. He prayed the kid would not move cause he would have ended him. Thankfully he never moved. My dad was not allowed to tell anyone what he did. I asked as a kid and he got mad at me. I’ll never know. His record showed his start day and end day and rank that’s it. I know the Vietnamese gave him the Vietnam cross and we gave him nothing. I don’t even know what the Vietnam cross means. What I do know is my dad was unstable and we could not even wake him up or he would be dangerous. But he also cannot ever work cause he suffered spinal cord damage and was always in some

At fleet farm. Wife wants a 6.5 creedmoor for deer hunting this year. It’s her first gun that she will own. She is on the computer now trying her best to answer the questions but her English is not fluent. They saw me looking at her and warned me I could not help her and warned her that if she asks me any questions they have to stop the transaction immediately. I told him she probably just understood only half of what he said He told me he cannot make any exception. I told her if she has any questions she must ask him. Now he has his hands full cause she is asking questions to every question on the questioneer. Lmao
It’s good enough.body heat with two people will warm it u,plus your outta the element.put up a couple blinds yesterday in the next state over,opens two days after Thanksgiving,we will be up the day before,my dad n I are making homemade pierogs,we gotta make 8 dozen,two dz are for me personally,the other guys supply everything else,venison kielbase,deer stick,good cheese,beers,we all sleep in my dad’s buddy house,get up early as fuck,I got a far wall up then mountain since I’m the youngest I said I’d go up the fartherest.
