I would say it’s definitely possible but I would prefer to sway on the side of caution if you happen to not make the perfect shot or anything isn’t perfect you could just shoot and not kill and animal and nobody wants that worst feeling hunting I had was muzzleloader I spine shot a doe right under me like 8 yrds had to reload while she was wailing and flopping on the ground hated it
I agree. Shoot to kill fast. The meat actually taste better also if they die fast. Don’t have all that adrenaline in there. I shot a nubby buck once with muzzle loader. I was on a ridge where old rr tracks use to be and nothing grew there but it was so dense on both sides of the old track. I shot him in the head and when the smoke cleared he was running right at me. He stopped about ten yards away and lowered his head and was swaying. I shot his nose off. I reloaded as fast as I could and put him out of his misery. I still feel bad about it
Yeah I love muzzleloader hunting but it sucks when you don’t make the shot you want first time lol there’s an old vet I used to hunt with double amputee both his legs he’s ride the 4wheeler in during muzzleloader with two guns lol don’t need to reload then
Practicing drills in the garage, with a full sized pistol bb gun c02 it was only 5 yards from shot.we did walking from target, and a quick spin around, acquire target and fire,we did that most the shots, not to shabby for a 10yr old.
