I’m not suppose to, but the 8th when those doe days open, I’m gonna drop two with the pump just to make sure my aiming skills are still on with a moving target
 
Because the land I hunt is within so many miles of a major freeway we get unlimited doe tags and no daily bag limit. Last time I killed three in one day I decided it was way too much work and not to do it again lol
 
I can’t wait to drop a doe,shot to the head, no trailing,one second she’ll be eatin,enjoying life,next second dead
 
Fuck were only aloud 1 deer per year and you have to enter a draw to secure a doe tag. There must be more red necks hunting in my area or something who knows.
 
Dude this will be the shit once you get it all finished up and I’m not even old and some days I don’t sit as long as I should because I’m like fuck this I’m dying out here lol or I’ll slow walk the property line for an hour or two then head out
 
Haha I have an awesome first deer story walking in the woods w my dad I had a split .243 so one shot and you gotta break it like an over under shotgun, came up on a spike trailing a doe so o shot the buck went right down and we stood there for a min and the doe was still just standing there so my dad was like
Fuck it shoot her too lmao got a 2 for 1 was pretty cool old timers at the gun club weren’t very happy but at 13 I was addicted immediately
 
I love my .243 sako, if you are a good shot all you need is 1 .243 they go down. I also have a .270 and a 300ultra mag but I don’t use them as much, .270 gets love but lugging around a 300 for whitetail at 30-100 yards is not worth it shot a doe w it once knocked her clean off her feet lol

I’ve killed most my deer with a compound,a bunch with shotgun,that’s about the only two weapons I hunt with,I did drop one with a 9 mil once,from a treestand
 
That a lot of gun for a whitetail. I got my son a .270 browning ABolt last year for a Christmas/birthday present with a vortex scope. Great gun for deer and also large game like elk if he ever has the opportunity. 300 is large game only. Or unless you wanna make sure you don’t have to track the whitetail
 
.270 is a great gift I got my ruger for my 16th bday w a leopould brand new guy had never shot it and borrowed it once to hunt that year and he sold it to my for my bday for 400 the scope alone was worth more then that, and .270 is great for bigger game too I had a lot of my clients I guided black bear for use a .270 it’s a great gun all around
 
A 22-250 moves at 3800 feet per second. I have read that the hydro shock from a 22 swift which moves at up to 4600 feet per second can kill most large game upon impact no matter where it hits. I would imagine that the speed of a 22-250 is fast enough to have similar results
