I wanted to post up some information on gyno and the medications that can add to your chances of developing gyno while using aas.

Medications known to cause gynecomastia include ketoconazole, cimetidine, gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues, human growth hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin, 5α-reductase inhibitors such as finasteride
Medications that are probably associated with gynecomastia include calcium channel blockers such as verapamil, amlodipine, and nifedipine; risperidone, olanzapine, anabolic steroids, alcohol, opioids, efavirenz, alkylating agents, and omeprazole. Certain components of personal care products such as lavender or tea tree oil and certain supplements such as dong quai and Tribulus terrestris have been associated with gynecomastia.

This wasn’t much of a surprise to me most of these medications i have been told in the past cause gynecomastia. I wanted to post this to show what you should be aware of while using aas or just in general if you are prone to gyno.
Something that I also was reading is the effect that bf has on your chances of getting gyno. Having a high bf is a causing factor in many cases is what I have read so I always believe in cutting down before a cycle. There are power lifters and other athletes that run at a higher bf and they should definitely take extra precautions.

This is the list of saverity in which they judge the gyno you have developed.

The spectrum of gynecomastia severity has been categorized into a grading system

Grade I: Minor enlargement, no skin excess

Grade II: Moderate enlargement, no skin excess

Grade III: Moderate enlargement, skin excess

Grade IV: Marked enlargement, skin excess

Here is a list of possible treatmentsthat can be used in the first 2yrs of onset and 75% of cases can be cleared up within 2yrs after that surgery is the main way that they treat gyno.

Medication
Medical treatment of gynecomastia is most effective when done within the first two years after the start of male breast enlargement. Selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) such as tamoxifen or raloxifene may be beneficial in the treatment of gynecomastia but are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in gynecomastia. Tamoxifen may be used for painful gynecomastia in adults. Aromatase inhibitors (AIs) have been used off-label for cases of gynecomastia occurring during puberty. A few cases of gynecomastia caused by the rare disorders aromatase excess syndrome and Peutz-Jeghers syndrome have responded to treatment with AIs such as anastrozole, aromasin, letrozole.

Many insurance companies deny coverage for surgery for gynecomastia treatment or male breast reduction on the basis that it is a cosmetic procedure. There have been alot of individuals that havebeen able to get the surgery covered with a doctor who will say that its medically nessacery. If you need the surgery don’t give up trying go to multiple doctors and submit multiple doctor’s opinions to your insurance company to get a better chance of getting coverage.

Just something I wanted to do a write up on this information is from wiki but there is so much more information on gynecomastia and gynecomastia prevention and treatment.
