VETERANS
Hello fellow bros!

I’ve been lurking here for awhile now and I’m finally starting to poke around and start ordering from some folks, so I thought I’d introduce myself.

Writing about yourself is weird, but I’ll try. 🙂 I’m a 38 year old software engineer who also has been lifting recreationally for about 7 years now. I first got into fitness after my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Prior to that, I had been kicked out of the Air Force for failing to meet PT standards. It was considered an Honorable Discharge, but it still irked me. These two things in confluence seemed to be a big flashing warning sign to me. I was 32 years old, fat as fuck, discharged from the military, jobless and dependent on my wife at the time (she was Army and would later get the boot as well [for total bs reasons]).

I decided to get fit. I began by walking a bunch and later started lifting 3-4 times a week. I was in college at the time, was in good shape and was able to dedicate a lot of time to it. I lost about 80 pounds of fat and put on a fair amount of muscle, but nothing extraordinary.

Unfortunately, lack of money, work and injuries due to old age/stupidity started kicking in and would confound my progress for a couple of years until I was able to get medical care and get my injuries and orthopedic issues sorted. Having gotten those issues behind me, this year and last year I’ve been at the gym 6 days a week and have seen fantastic gains using a volume focused approach. Having seen the progress I’ve made and started seeing gains level off, I’ve decided to take the plunge and start TRT (250mg/wk along with HcG and anastrozole). It’s been working great so far, but I’m looking to take it up to the next level when I do my cut starting in January.

I looked at a lot of different boards and a lot of them I’ve seen a preponderance of scammers (at least according to cursory research). This is the first board I’ve found that both seems legit and seems filled with genuinely helpful people. I really have to commend @Bigmurph for fostering a positive environment to talk about this stuff freely and in a constructive way.

I’m looking forward to contributing to this community in the future, as well as hopefully making some friends and learning a thing or two from my more experienced bros.

Thanks for reading folks! I’ll cya around I guess 🙂

Kind words brother welcome to ugmuscle were glad to have you around I will give you a veterans badge.
I myself started back on gear because I got fat as hell lost just over 60lbs and then went to work adding mass. Just keep pushing forward and you can achieve any goals.

Good luck and good gains brother

Welcome to the front! I hung back a bit early on but was so impressed by the members and staff that I jumped in quick… now I can say both product and coaching are a part of my life and I couldn’t be happier! Get after it! :muscle:t3:
