Hello from a 64-year-old longtime fitness enthusiast – who is in longterm rehabilitation from a catastrophic brain injury in 2003 that rendered me a hemiplegic (i.e., with no movement or sensation on the left side of my body). Brain surgery to correct the birth defect that had hemorrhaged was successful, and I have recovered most of my functioning – through physical therapy and training at the gym. I’m less oriented toward bodybuilding nowadays and placing more time and effort into improving my gait (my last remaining deficit). Slowly but surely, over the months, it’s getting better – hurrah!
