A lot of guys throw Masteron into a cycle because it has a reputation for making you look harder and drier. The thing is most people are not honest with themselves about their body fat. Masteron is a cosmetic drug. If you are not already lean it does not do much. It does not add real size and it is not meant to. It is a DHT based compound that gives more of an aesthetic change rather than new muscle tissue.
From an anabolic standpoint it is weak compared to test, nandrolone or tren. If your goal is growth there are other compounds that will give you a noticeable return on your effort instead of just adding Masteron because you saw someone else use it. A lot of guys are disappointed because they expect a dramatic difference when they are not in a position for the drug to show what it is supposed to do.
Another thing people forget is that Masteron does not convert to estrogen at all. If someone is already running low test and they stack Masteron on top they risk crashing estrogen. When that happens training goes downhill fast. Pumps drop, joints hurt, and you feel flat even when calories are high. So even though Masteron sounds like a safe add on it can work against you if you do not balance it correctly.
For me personally I am running it right now and the cosmetic change is obvious. I am lean enough for it to actually show and my muscles look noticeably drier and more grainy. The separation in certain muscle groups looks sharper and the overall look is much cleaner. It did exactly what it is known for, but that is because I am in a spot where a cosmetic drug actually has something to enhance. If I were not lean I doubt I would notice much of anything.
So the real question is whether Masteron make
sense for most lifters? or if people are using it out of habit instead of choosing a compound that matches what they want out of the cycle?
