Nattokinase is an enzyme extracted from natto, a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans. It’s known for its ability to break down fibrin, a protein involved in blood clotting. Due to its fibrinolytic (clot-dissolving) properties, nattokinase is often promoted for cardiovascular health, as it can help improve circulation and reduce the risk of blood clots.

Benefits for Bodybuilders

While nattokinase is not directly linked to muscle growth or strength, bodybuilders might consider using it for the following reasons:
  1. Improved Circulation: Enhanced blood flow can improve nutrient and oxygen delivery to muscles, potentially aiding in recovery and performance.
  2. Reduced Inflammation: Some bodybuilders use nattokinase to help reduce inflammation, which can be beneficial after intense workouts.
  3. Heart Health: Maintaining cardiovascular health is crucial, especially when engaging in strenuous physical activities. Nattokinase might help support heart health by maintaining healthy blood pressure and reducing the risk of clot-related issues.
  4. Reduced Risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): Bodybuilders who engage in long periods of sitting or who are prone to developing blood clots might find nattokinase beneficial for reducing the risk of DVT, a condition where blood clots form in deep veins, typically in the legs.

Considerations

Before adding nattokinase to a supplement regimen, it’s important for bodybuilders to consult with a healthcare provider, especially if they are on blood-thinning medications or have conditions that affect blood clotting, as nattokinase can enhance the effects of these medications.

Hmmmmmm

I wear knee high compression socks every day in the office due to long periods of sitting.

I’m about to start doing the same at work but for standing. I added this about a month back. 2,000-10,000 fu daily is dosage range. I take 6,000.

I have a friend that just retired from 40 something year as a barber… standing all day. His legs are in very bad shape and ugly. Varicose veins and clots…of course he’s an old hippie pot head from the 60’s that never stopped. He literally has never exercised… got the biggest boobs. Hahaha

Got off work the other day did some yard work still wearing socks… getting old means I don’t give a rats ass what the neighbors think. 😂😂

Yeah some of the veins around my ankles aren’t looking to young 😂 figured it was time to compression up.

Amazon sells some pretty good ones that give some compression. I’ve got a bunch of black/white ones.

I’ve also got some that are for real medical supply type and they’re real tight. Feel tight for about 10-15 minutes but get “soothing” and comfortable as the day goes on.

I got some from a nursing site so I’ll give ya an update when they get in. They usually don’t make them in my shoe size. The ones I got are a 5x. Size 14 can be nurses too. Geeeez.
