New Feature, Ratings for product by sponsor

Latest new feature for UGM. You can now rate a sponsors product by 1-5 stars. Each member gets one rating per product. Only level 3 can create product topics. Everyone can rate products. But topic titles must remain in noted formats;

Name of product - Labs - the word Rating. (any keywords)

For the members- These categories will be a sub category under the sponsors category. People often ask how was X product. You can post a short review of the product in the products topic. This will not be a “review” section but ratings will be handled differently. No sponsor will be rated against another sponsor. This strictly for products.

For the sponsors- Those with websites will get a huge benefit from this. All links will be considered a “do follow” link in terms of SEO for your site and directly to your product. Those without sites will also get a benefit of it when people are searching your product online.You may use a keyword AFTER your lab name in the title.

An example of that is as follows:

Sponsors may not rate their own products. If you create a thread for the product you MUST not press rating within the topic.

You can see their is no initial rating assigned. But people can reply to the product with a rating.

If you are rating a sponsors product and they have a website please post the link in the post. For now, to give sponsors a chance to update posts, the ratings will not be on the latest page section. That will change they make updated product posts.

Also this will make it easier for a member to find a certain product by searching for it.

Sorry to everyone for blowing the board up with ratings but I wanted to write one for every sponsor I have used. I hope that everyone else decides to go and write ratings for all the sponsors they have used.

There are so many dam things , the Srcs puttin up there stuff and the reviews, isn’t it a bit overboard? I can’t even read it all it’s easier to just dismiss all the new shit,then pick thru the actual conversations about meaningful things.

Actually its not being used properly. Theres a problem with how reviews are done and this system WHEN PROPERLY IMPLEMENTED will be easier to use and see. For now stick to the Latest section. As sources fill the category it will be cluttered in “New”. That will fade out eventually.

From an admin standpoint I get the brunt of the questions thru pm and now thru email. Alot of questions that could be simply answered with the right system. But its getting people to setup the system right the first time thats important. I listen to what members want, issues that sources have or want, and find a way to benefit everyone.

Its just the clutter in the beginning that will die down. Once a sources product categories are full, I will close it off and only replies will be given. I will also keep it off the “latest” section by default. Lets say you are looking for Cialis. You can search the site for what you want. Say “cialis 20mg” and see what sponsor carries that product. No more “Who carries this product?” with replies of “I think so and so carries it” is needed.

Additionally you can see the sponsors ratings category and see the products you are looking for without the headache. Remember we have way more members lurking then we do actually posting. I get emails from memebers I have never seen post asking if I know how x sponsors product of what is.

Ratings should not be used as reviews. Its a short reply and the rating is configured at the top. I know one source on here I would use for test, nolva and clomid. But would never touch his proviron again as my bloods at the time proved that product was trash. He has since fixed it, but its still something I wouldnt use.

Ratings will be up to the sponsor or their reps to keep up with until I close it out. So not everyone will use it. The biggest problem is people treating it like reviews and wanting to have discussions in a ratings thread. Thats not what its intended for.

Its no problem bro. Even I started deleting chats I saw in the ratings. Theres a sponsor ratings section fixing up the category section and when its done I plan on doing a write up of why and how this should be done using theirs as an example for others to see. Murph and I talked yesterday about getting rid of the reviews all together and just having the ratings. Some people just dont want to write a long review out but dont mind leaving a comment with rating on what they’ve tried.

I believe that the rating system is great once like you said it is used correctly. I think that the review process I put together doesn’t come close to the ratings system.

For now the tab options will be limited to latest, categories, and board. So as long as browsing by latest you won’t see any clutter. If you want to see adult section or ratings you need to search or go to category. But it won’t show in your feed.
