Welcome @Poppy! We’re cut from similar cloth, I competed in powerlifting for close to 20 years, 198, 220 and dabbled in 242 but never found much success over what I had at 220 to justify feeling like shit all day every day to weigh that much.
JB…yes sir. I,also, felt like crap at 242. I put up my intended squat numbers but couldn’t hit my 500# bench…not even close. I had the mobility of a cinder block.
