Second smoke of the almost spring.. here’s photos

With the price of beef sky rocketing and chicken being scarce at the stores, you can still find pork loins and tenderloins for about 1.30-1.50$ Per pound… smoked a pork loin last week and didn’t take photos, so here’s the one from tonight…

I’m slow smoking some chicken thighs as well… I’ll post pictures when they’re done
 
Yeah, mine has gone up about 30% in the Midwest… not super thrilled… going to start putting live traps in my yard and living off rabbit and squirrel
 
That’s a beautiful pork loin. I feel your pain, I was really looking forward to briskets this summer but bone in pork shoulder will have to suffice. I like doing whole chickens too and then making chicken salad out of the leftover with red onions and chipotle Mayo.
 
I just season the skin with Traegers and throw the whole thing in. I leave all the organs inside too. I like to grind up the organs for the chicken salad. They’re super nutritious and I think they add another layer of flavor you really can’t get otherwise.
