Short blasts for longevity?

As I get older, the less I care about getting as big as possible or crazy aesthetics. I’ve been more focused on longevity and overall health. I’m pretty happy with my size now at 210lbs, going up and down in weight so dramatically really messes with my clothing as well as I already have to get everything tailored as a taller guy at 6’3. Big and tall size is for obese people, not fit and tall unfortunately.

I no longer have the desire to go on a long 12-16 week cycle. It’s really grueling to push that hard for 12-16 weeks in the gym and to disciplined with the diet. I’m no longer competing as an athlete either so I just workout for health and hobby.

What do you guys think about doing short 4-6 week cycles maybe 2-3x a year using short esters and orals instead of 1-2 long ones? I’m on TRT 200mg anyways, so PCT isn’t an issue anymore making a longer cycle more worth it.

The way I see it, if I can commit 3-4 moderate workout a week consistently through the year. I’m going to be healthy and fit, while not burning myself out or have any injuries as I get older. And save 2-3 times a year where I do go all out.

And realistically, running a cycle is just going to cause you to have elevated BP, increase resting heart rate, crashed cholesterol, hard on the kidney, hard on the liver. Some of that can be mitigated, but harder when you go longer.

I would theorize a short blast isn’t too bad for the body giving it time to recover vs staying on it for a prolong time where some of the side effects can even compound. Your body is pretty resilient and I would assume can come out of a 4 week blast just fine.

For me its just figure out my goals figure out my diet then training plan. After that then pick out aas and supps then you should be ready to go but also you might have to prep before the cycle like dropping bf or something else

I am curious. I always blast and cruise 12 and 12 sometimes I have done longer but I donate blood and do my blood work regularly.

The way I see it is like this.

If I can get to the gym 3-4 times a week every single week this year. I’d be happy and able to reach my goals. If I can also maintain a consistent diet where I don’t have a week or month of just not caring. I will be able to reach any goal I want.

So I was thinking that I would do 1 month of light workouts. Maybe adding more machine. This month will be to maintain muscle and leanness while letting my body recover. Also gives me a mental rest.

Second month I will do moderate workouts. Start pushing but not to hard.

3rd month I do intensive. Where I’m 100% dialed in on diet as well. Studies have shown that most people can’t mentally go heavy week after week. There’s some neurological aspect of it that we don’t fully understand. And we mentally and physically burn out. Not to mention injuries as we get older.

Then I back off to a month of light workouts to let my mind and body heal.

This seems like a good concept. Are you going to use all fast esters? Long esters I don’t think would work.

I will keep my trt of 200mg cyp as base.

But I will add short esters like prop during the 4 weeks, NPP and tren ace are other options but they give me a lot of sides I want to avoid.

And of course orals during this time.

This way once I stop the short esters and orals, I still have a base of trt that I am right back on without experiencing issue of PCT and low test.
