Hey guys

I had dinner with Stan Efferding at cesars in Vegas with my girlfriend about 5 years ago. For those who don’t know who he is. He was the first guy to earn his pro card AND set weight lifting record in same year

He wrote a manual I bought that talks about gut health and how to take care of yourself as you age as a body builder. He’s in his fifties I think and there’s a lot of things he wished he had done when he was younger. And the stuff he does now, he swears has cured a lot of his ailments

He discusses a lot about diet
of course supplements (that help older lifters 40 50+, lifters in general)
Sleep cycles (what to do)
Gut health and foods that really help your gut bacteria and digestion
Hormone level maintenance
Skin care all kinds of useful tools

I highly highly recommend it. Not just cause I met him but I’m 10 years younger than him and a lot he talks about I see in older guys I know

GH won’t solve all your problems LOL

Talk about synchronicity, I just watched a video on youtube the other day from mark bell that had him giving a seminar, about an hour long. it was interesting to hear the two speak and talk about how they diet and the benefits from each style. But yeah you need carbs if you want to lift heavy was the consensus I took away from it.
 
For the amount we spend on juice
to me was a no brainer investment lol
But I also had the luxury of meeting him and talking to him so that may have sold me to…

But regardless if I met him or not
What he shares in his eook is something I haven’t read in other articles/forums etc

@NeuroRN - I bought it back in October. Vertical Diet 2.0 - it’s a great read. Has some awesome features on how the vertical diet works and what foods to use to optimize results.
 
Sorry meant 3.0. Again a great read for anybody wanting to go vertical.
