Speaking of chicken the wife’s making homemade chicken n dumplings tonight, which is real swell in my book.

One of my clients is a obsessive hunter… has the resource to do all kinds of exotic hunts… he gave me 10 lbs…no clue what it costs per pound to be honest. But I weight out 8 oz portions, as @John said… they don’t shrink! Similar to high end grass fed cattle.

I’m gonna get some, somewhere, @Stratfordave with my ground venison, I do meatloaf, meatballs, spaghetti and wait you fucking guessed it,Meatsauce, sos AKA shit-on-shingle, which is ground beef usually( but I use Venison) and a white cream sauce and you put it on toast,it’s real swell, there’s more but I already probably sound like I have no life.

I’ll usually cook enough ck for 2 weeks, cryo vac them and leave a weeks worth in fridge and weeks worth in freezer. Carb sources I like to change up so I’m usually cooking them on the fly. But I always have some rice backed up just in case I gotta grab and go

Sounds real good John. Got a Doe last night. I turn all my meat to jerky minus the backstraps.

Outfuckingstanding @Arkrov I always do a few batches a jerky when I whack one, backstraps keep of course, but I grind most of mine up

lately my meal prepping has been real simple: 5-6 lbs of chicken tenders and 4 pounds of lean ground beef prepped as taco meat. Alongside this I prep my carbs for the week: a pound of dry pasta and 2 cups of dry rice. I combine my prepped foods with various other packaged or prep-free fresh foods to get my meals for the week. It’s been working pretty well.

I didn’t actually hunt today, just dropped corn and cleaned off my stand of snow n ice
