What up UG fam. So what type of training style do you guys use? Do you follow the bro science type of training or do you make up your own training for what works for you?

Me personally I love a structured laid out plan. For years I’d do my typical split 6 days a week and on my way to the gym I’d kind of plan out in my head what I planned on hitting. Last year after nationals I purchased a plan from Mountian dog (John Meadows) and man what a difference it made. I had been implementing a lot of his techniques and routines he would post on YouTube.

Man I’ve never used such a detailed plan. At first it was overwhelming because it was so detailed but I dug in and man I love his programs. And now he’s my coach due to some unfortunate circumstances and having a very close friend link us up.

It really is important to use a coach even as advanced as I consider myself I still learn stuff daily. Here is some recent pics from this week. 7.5 weeks out here. I’m using @SymBiotecLab gear cyp is at 800mg mastP 400mg and ment 50mg on training days. Wow his ment is off the fucking charts I use it pre workout and man I feel it in the gym. Strength and endurance is insane on that shit. It’s so strong I’ll only run it for 4 weeks because I get a touch of gyno even using 25mg aromasin every night. But 4 weeks is my sweet spot. I’m sitting at 209.8 here. Carbs are close to 600grams a day on training days and about 3500 calories on training days.

For training inquires feel free to comment and I will get in contact with you.

For any of your gear needs contact my boy @SymBiotecLab and guys don’t ask stupid questions like asking him to make specific compounds just for you for 1 bottle come on seriously lol and don’t expect free samples he’s well proven himself. You should never do that to any sponsors here I hear stories from sponsors and I’m blown away. Respect their time and the work they put into this.

I’ve been running john meadows gamma bomb for 8 weeks now and your right the difference is amazing. The detail is superb and it’s like having multiple training styles because depending on the say training styles laterally change throughout the workout. I plan to dang sure use more programs by him. Plus a structured plan keeps me in the right mind and my goals achievable. You’re looking solid bro keep it up!!

I’m currently doing guantlet again on week 10. I have colasus, carnage, and creeping death 1 I think. Thanks bro.

Guantlet is pretty intense it’s a lot of focus on back

Gotdam @PHD… when is your next show and you better fuckin place. Look solid and Grainy as a muthafukka!! You don’t place, some judges need to be skullfucked…

100% on point with that post.

I’ve run Gamma Bomb twice now and love it. Also enjoyed The Gauntlet.

John Meadows knows his stuff and puts all the “got to be careful not to train to hard” crew to shame. If overtraining were really that simple, we would’ve seen a lot of guys in the 90’s out of commission from overtraining 🙂

Yep! It takes time to know your body, but the signs are pretty evident and overtraining takes time. It gives you enough time to take a few extra rest days, a deload, or both!

When I was still doing meets, my off season training was typically the conjugate method. Extremely structured, working heavy and speed days in one week, and not always doing the “big 3” for your lifts, I loved it… both equipped and raw I had awesome results. Louie Simmons hit the nail on the head when he developed west side training. The last few years I competed I would do some periodization, and I would train conjugate for one cycle, and I started implementing Brandon Lilly’s cube method…I think I had some of my greatest gains in strength when I started alternating my training methods.

I need to look up John’s plans. I’m a huge fan of his YouTube vids. I do a lot of volume for back. Lots of rows, weighted chins, and deadlifts. I usually hit back before I work bench presses. Probably bro science old school style. 😂. I’m almost 50 and a decade in the USMC infantry wrecked my body. You’ll definitely more than just “place” @PHD.

First off thanks for your service and we know you jar heads work your asses off so I can imagine how hard you push it bro. Thank you.

I forgot to add, after my hip replacement surgery, even though I will not be making a comeback to competition like I had hoped, I will probably transition right back into training like a power lifter… I will periodize and cycle from conjugate to the cube… every so many cycles I’ll probably even run my 8 week meet prep program just to change things up.
