Training importance and intensity

His workouts really utilize everything. It’s like a huge science experiments. I’ve been doing stuff I had no clue about and gaining great results. John workouts are worth it in my book.

Looking solid @PHD for 210. Im shocked every time I see someone post a nice solid frame and find out they weigh alot less then I would guess. Never used Johns programs or any program, but am a fan of his channel and content.

You asked about training styles, currently in a maintenance phase using super sets or giant sets in all my workouts with almost no rest between rounds. Using TRX/bands as much as possible to change it up on movements and roughly 5 min HIT after most workouts if possible. Have not been a fan of programs for along time, but never had a legit trainer like John either.

I decide on a general theme/goal and listen to what the body wants along the journey. 4-5 days training and off days try to hit cardio or be active

Just recently started using bands in my training routine as well. I really enjoy the constant tension. Would’ve probably never used them if not on a structured routine. I’ve been missing out over the years.

Used to program for myself but I would always over think it and change it up way too often.

I’ve run a few Christian Thibaudeau programs - they’re not bad but leave some things to be desired. Too much jazz and not enough of the basics for me.

For an athletic/ strength program you can’t go wrong with Eric Cressey’s stuff. Big name trainer in the MLB and has some impressive PL numbers. I like to run one of his programs to kick off my offseason - always leaves me feeling healthier and stronger.

Staring Meadows Creeping Death II on Monday - pumped to try it out.

Be prepared. CD 2 is brutal! I haven’t run it myself, but I know several who have. If you’re recovering enough, you should make some good progress.
