Treating low T in someone under 30

Im certainly not anti supplementation, and I understand the importance of having your hormones just right, but at the same time having seen some of the TRT protocols some people have, I’m somewhat ambivalent when it comes to having someone under 30 put on 200 mg per week of test for the rest of their life.

Now as you said, admittedly there are first line treatments that will be much safer and more tolerated (similar to drugs like metformin for diabetes), and some docs might be more conservative about their dosing even if using exogenous test, but without knowing the specific trt doc I’d at least want to know I’d exhausted my other options, as even something like HCG will have side effects.

But all of that aside, I’m not a medical professional, and I trust your judgment on matters involving medical procedure. Keep at it brother.

The weekly shots for life starting at 30 certainly isn’t ideal. Diet, exercise, and sleep should always be evaluated. I’m just of the mindset, I’d rather have exact controls of my hormones once I need to rather than bu subjective to my bodies production.

Haha that mentality is obviously influenced by the fact that we all want to be big and strong as possible…

It’s totally a personal preference and I think what you’re saying has merit. Most of us here would say just get on the trt, but we don’t really talk about what’s first.
