What have we become?

Yeah F social media, “reality” TV, the list goes on and on. Educational system is fucked, America is fucked, our children are fucked, and by fucked I mean in serious jeopardy

From cancel culture to virtue signaling to every fucking movement and colored fucking ribbon for every possible fucking cause under the son it’s absolutely absurd

Yep. It’s also like a sin to be white in this country now. The warehouse I work at, of course Amazon, has Latino pride posters, BLM logos, Asian pride, never anything about whites and this goes for many of the other large businesses too…not to mention soda companies giving powerpoints on how to be less white. If anything were to ever say white pride people would associate it with white supremacy. But that’s what being white is like in America right now, everyone else can do it but we can’t.

I almost erased this as hate but its not its true. I believe that white people are under attack in this country just because they are white.

Isn’t that the definition of racism.

I honestly believe that everyone of every color needs to look in the mirror and realize were all Americans.
We need to leave race out of everything and start working together because divided we fall. This is what China and other countries are loving right now how divided we are and they take advantage.

You should honestly take pictures and goto HR and tell them you feel like you work in a hostile environment and you want those posters pulled down unless they are willing to hang a white pride poster.
They won’t and its because of what you said its extremely unfair and bias.

Was about to say essentially the same. It definitely is backwards racism as they are discriminating solely if white. It’s ridiculous with one of the things put in this COVID rescue package. Only minority farmers get financial debt relief. I thought we are all in this together, and farmers that happen to be white haven’t been hit hard from the covid? Sure there are bad apples that believe in white supremacy, but strongly believe this level is nowhere near how things are being portrayed in the media. It’s as though whenever something happens the initial assumption is to pull the race card before getting all the facts. Part of the reason everyone is so divided these days. I’m all for the practice of equality (basing outcomes on the individuals character and skills, not color of skin), rather than equity (which basically is dividing people up solely by race/gender/or whatever you identify as, giving higher priority to groups that are more under-represented in a given job, rather than selecting those with the best skill, experience, etc.).

This is what the constitution says is supposed to happen no discrimination against any sex, age, religion, gender, and so on but this isn’t true and will it ever be true I don’t know but it just continues to get worse.

Doing this is ridiculous
dividing people up solely by race/gender/or whatever you identify as, giving higher priority to groups that are more under-represented in a given job, or any other setting rather than selecting those with the best skill, experience, etc.

That’s discrimination and racist and the Supreme Court just shot down the case against the colleges for this trying to be done to them which I agree with 100% if you earn a spot its yours it shouldn’t ever be given to another because they need to fill a quota or something that’s so unfair to everyone.

Its true the media has alot to do with what’s happening they influence people just like social media sometimes I feel like there competing against each other

I think there is merit to the argument with sub-quality K-12 schools, particularly in inner cities which can explain why some (which unfortunately affect mostly minorities) are at a disadvantage from the start for obtaining high paying jobs or college admittance. In my opinion, this is where the government should focus their attention on rather than all of this identity politics. Colleges definitely need to be better regulated and get rid of basically worthless degrees and reduce the cost. I am an advocate for college on a case by case basis, particularly if majoring in the sciences or engineering, but more attention should be made early on regarding the trades. Often the trades will hands down be better when compared to those obtaining degrees that don’t provide enough return on the investment, let alone starting your career off with zero student debt. Mike Rowe is a huge advocate for educating others about the trades, as college isn’t for everyone, nor necessary to get a high paying job.

100%. This is a brief summary from a US Today article of that section that was recently signed into law.

“The provision, which was drawn from the Emergency Relief for Farmers of Color Act, was inserted into the relief package and includes $5 billion that will go to socially disadvantaged farmers of color. These include Black, Hispanic, Native American or Asian American farmers. Four billion dollars would go toward covering up to 120% of outstanding debt, and $1 billion is designated for outreach, training, education, technical assistance and grants.”

What does this have to do with COVID?

I went to some really bad schools myself but those that put in the effort got there scholarships whether sports or academics. I believe still even though everyone is saying that everything isn’t equal but it never has been and never will be this is America right everyone has a shot you gotta take it and run with it as far as you can but everyone knows that the rich get a head start but I believe that anyone can become rich with the right goals and working towards them any background can make it in the USA you just have to possibly put in alot of work or it might get handed to you if you’re lucky. That’s the American dream it isn’t dead I just feel like less people want to put in the work to achieve it I understand its not easy only people who make more than 140k usd are middle class really the rest of us are poor but that’s an acceptable class now which is also crazy then the top 1% of the super rich. I don’t even make a fraction of 140k a year.
I need a raise 😆 🤣 lol
