I haven’t been on ice since before my hip surgery, my youngest daughter let me teach her how to skate, the older ones wanted nothing to do with it. This winter I’m getting out when the rinks open up for public skating, I miss it, and out of all my mistakes in life quitting hockey is the only one I regret

If my gym were close I would. I haven’t been on rollerblades since probably the 90’s. We used to have a year round rink here, but the ammonia compressors broke and the town that owned the sports park said they couldn’t afford to fix, so it closed. And last year the rink I grew up playing in and watching our USHL team in lost it’s roof in that stupid ass Derecho that hit us. They’re building a new rink, but currently the only one is down town on one of the River walks and it’s winter only as it’s open to the elements.

Got stuck going on an emergency service call that was anything but an emergency. 5:30-9pm. AC went out at a blood donation center. It could’ve waited for the morning. Wrecked my night but all that overtime affords my AAS hobby. The guy on site was an arrogant Eastern European engineer who was talking down to me. I eventually said I could leave and he could probably fix it himself, he finally shut up and fucked off and that kinda made my night. I’m sure he’ll complain to the office but they’re well aware of my propensity to shit on rude people.

Exactly. And I’m not even HVAC, I’m an electrician. I was just there to run the temp line for a 40amp 208v temp unit. Guy would repeat everything I said like it was an original thought and then tell me to do it. It’s just obnoxious.
