I kept hearing about this horrible stomach bug going around.. thank goodness I didn't get it.. but instead this is what happened to me. I haven't been really sick since 2021/2022.. its been years.
About 3-weeks ago my daughter ended up getting sick. After about two weeks they finally gave her antibiotics. Than I ended up getting sick (which is very unusual)and been battling this thing since about Christmas.. tested negative for everything. They said it's A virus. Causing sore throat., phlegm, sinus infection, upper respiratory, shortness of breath. Affecting your lungs.. pressure in your head..loss of voice, and now loss of taste and much of your smell.. then one child tested positive for the flu. And three others have similar conditions to what I have and test negative for strep, flu, covid..
I've changed antibiotics twice.. was on methylprednisolone, it was also changed to prednisone and on asthma meds every 4 hrs.(nebulizer/inhaler).
I finally feel like I've turned the corner.. but still wheezing a littl, much less phlegm, now it sucks I can't taste much and my sense of smell has also been affected.. any one else or their family been going through anything similar.
The whole time this has been happening ive been pounding my supps, living on hot soup, some eggs, taking very hot showers a few times a day, trying to break and loosen this stuff up....
If so what you do to help get over your sickness..and how long did it take you to recover?
Any specific supps you take on th3 regular or add to help boost your immune system.
Looking forward to hear what everyone is doing these days

Brother I feel for ya. Getting sick is horrible…having sick kids is horrible!

This time of year… I take 1-2 emergenC’s a day. I take almost 1 a day throughout the year. I also up my zinc supplements.

I try and not be so lazy on my test cyp dosing. Every 3-4 days. I WILL get slack on that if given half a chance. Hahaha

Hope you feel better brother! Feels like you`ve been sick for weeks!

Ohhh and prednisone tears me up!!! Makes me feel like crap. Every so often I get in poison ivy real bad and that’s the only thing that helps. But it makes me feel really bad.
It absolutely destroys me bro!! Depending on how long I`m on it, it takes me several days or even weeks to feel normal again. I was on it for a good while a while back and I`m about a month out from taking it and still feel like shit.

As I understand it, prednisone shuts down our adrenal glands endogenous cortisol production similar to how exogenous test shuts down our endogenous test production. Now, the adrenal glands are much better at bouncing back than are testicles and a lot of people don` t even notice the transition from prednisone back to their normal cortisol as long as they taper off of the prednisone, however some people such as my self have adrenal glands that suck and they don`t like to just bounce back.

It also gives me bad insomnia when I`m on it and just makes me feel like ass.

I got sick about a month ago that was really strange. I woke up, went to the gym, came home, showered and had a shake. Felt good. As I was driving into work I started to feel like I was freezing my ass off. By the time I got to the parking lot I was throwing up. I went home and threw up a couple of times. Slept for almost a day and just felt drained. The following day felt good. Never got so sick so fast like that before and was gone almost as quick. Weird shit

Went through this for about 3 weeks, didn’t want to go the antibiotics route so just kept suffering. A coworker of mine is really into holistic healing and remedies, told me to drink mullein tea and marshmallow root. Started feeling better in days and now back to normal.

Bro my whole family got the flu type A. Around Dec 10th sometime maybe. I got it first but didn't test positive till later. Daughter is better. Wife and I are still coughing up bad. Just switched to a different antibiotic as well. But for about 10 days or so could barely get out of bed.

Hope you all get better soon
