It’s been warm a couple days in a row and it’s definitely got me ready for warmer and longer days. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from this season. Thanks for looking.

Ok ok….

IF I had to pick one…. It would be the mountain lake reflection…. Those shots always amaze me.

Been warm here too. Out here it also brings rain. Lots of rain…. 3.5 inches Saturday and it’s drizzling pretty good now.

The frogs are awake. They were sounding off last night in the pond. There’s some trees with buds on them already.

That one was cool because the whole lake was frozen except this little tiny pool in the corner of the lake and it lined up perfectly!

I swear I’m hearing cicadas in my dreams.

A lot of crickets but nothing like wetlands in the south, that will put me to sleep in 0.2 seconds.

Mosquitos get bad for about a month and that’s it.

People that love to freeze their ass off and enjoy the snow for longer than just a nice ski trip or short vacay are super weird to me. To each their own, but I shall take running shorts and flip-flops year round!

My whole family is still in michigan … you couldn’t pry them out of there. As a matter of fact… lots retire and move farther up north out of the rat race.

I’m the one that flew the coop. After the Marine Corps and Florida (sunny tropical/southern climate) I spent one winter up there…packed my crap and headed south. Headed back to Florida and stopped in NC… here I am 40 something years later.

NC has some really pretty areas, just like most states, but it’s rather too far north for me still. My family is from upstate NY and all pretty much still live up there. Gorgeous spring and summer, but I don’t think they know any better the other 7-8 months of the year. 😂

Michigan is same way most beautiful summers and spring… all the rest is bitter cold. Air coming off the lakes is brutal in the winter
