I’m set for spine surgery on August 5th. The surgeon says my hemoglobin and hematocrit are too high for surgery so I’m waiting for approval from my insurance to get blood removed to bring down those numbers. They gave me gabapentin to reduce the nerve pain which works pretty well, along with all the other pain drugs I take. My surgeon said I’ll always have back pain but if the surgery is a success I’ll be able to walk again and lift weights even on my legs. Pain is normal for us bodybuilders so not a big deal. I’ll be thrilled to walk miles in nature again and lift weights on these stick legs. 👍
I’m still puking up what I eat a lot and have chronic hiccups. The medicine I’m using for GERD helps a lot though. I go a few days feeling great. Then a few days with non stop hiccups and vomiting. I’ll look into hiatal hernia surgery after my spine is good. I just hope during the surgery day I’m not in a hiccup/puking phase.
That which doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, right! 😀
