You mentioned working with a track coach and being able to absorb some of his knowledge. I can somewhat relate to that.
I recently brought a local high school track coach on board to work with me during my last training camp as my conditioning coach and he’ll be back again to work with me when I begin camp again next month. I had worked with him earlier on in my career but to have him back as part of my team has been an invaluable asset. His knowledge and the tools he’s helped me develop have been incredible. My conditioning and gas tank which I already had taken great pride in before he came on board has been brought to a whole other level.
I know so man athletes that won’t train conditioning like the shoukd because they are scared they may lose gains. In this case “gains” would more so be size in the BB community. But when you condition your aerobic capacity system to help incorporate slow & fast twitch muscle fibers strength goes up. I don’t see why size wouldn’t too. I get excited when I start thinking about lactic buildup lol. I’m on nights and about to crash, I’m gonna send you some links to check out.
