Businesses are closing around me cause no ones working

Chili’s closed because almost entire staff just stopped showing up for work.

Took wife and son the Buffalo Wild Wings this week. One waitress who was also bartender, one hostess, and two cooks. We couldn’t order off the normal menu because kitchen couldn’t handle it. Only deep fryer items.

Waitress had an ankle bracelet. She said people work for a few weeks or months then collect unemployment and claim Covid. She probably is only working to stay outta jail herself lol.

I remember when we use to go there and they would have over 20 staff.

Took wife to a local super club and they had all old people working. I’m talking probably the grandpa of the owners bartending and all wait staff was at least 60 except one girl. They were talking also about how they can’t find anyone to work.

Lots of small mom and pop shops are changing hours because they don’t have they help anymore to keep normal hours.

WTF. Where are we headed. I feel like a Great Depression is around the corner. This time not because of lack of jobs but because we have cultured our society into making the governments TIT the priority when it comes to our incomes and we’ll being.

This has got to end. We have a vaccine open it up. I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time. This is essentially the apocalypse for that industry. Those businesses are hanging by a thread on a good day. Many many of these businesses that people spent their lives building will not come back.

Exactly what they wanted. At least here they cut off the federal pet of unemployment. I hope I get the extra in my payment from November though hahaha. Although they said I’m eligible
To get it I won’t believe I’m getting my weeks unemployment too I see it

This is a sad time for a lot of people. I understand covid was a huge concern, but really at this point the most susceptible to come down with serious or life threatening symptoms have already been vaccinated. I’m no conspiracy guy, but man if you wanted to wipe out small businesses to make way for full big corporate takeovers this is the way to do it. Mom and pops can’t float the bills dealing with these regulations. The general worker is being used as a pawn in this game too.

What confuses me with the “concern for safety and lives” is how hypocritical it is. How many people die from prescription drugs? Cigarettes? Alcohol? Food choices? Driving cars for Christ sake. They’re multiton hunks of metal we all drive at high speeds that can instantly kill someone, and many MANY deaths per year come from just cars.

The consequence of life is that everyday, something might kill you. But you’re way more likely to die driving to work Monday morning than dying from covid

It’s sad. In Kenosha that also happened with BLM protests. The police stood by and watched the protesters destroy family businesses. One that was four generations of family owned.

They cannot recover because there is no bail out unless your huge.

Why would you work if you can make more off unemployment? Covid is just another excuse for some to not work. Help wanted signs are everywhere around me and the only people working are all these retirees.

Same down here…restaurants are half staff at most…in-laws have family owned business and can’t get anyone because of federal checks. It’s terrible.

That’s human nature… go to work and get $500 a week or not be bothered, lay around house and get $450 a week…todays culture condones the latter.

I just can’t help but be curious. What’s going to happen to our future? How long can we sustain this for? How can people be so brainwashed that they cannot see the truth when it is right in front of them.

When trump came along and people went with him it scared the hell out of whoever really runs the world. The few realized the many did not think the way they did and something had to be done remember all the riots in China were going on Taiwan I believe. We were pissed here everywhere there was unrest and we were coming together so along came the spider(covid). And what you know control by fear. Then dissension in the ranks the segregation now we are divided and quiet and people show there true colors. For just enough money to starve to death they will stay at home and do what they are told and it’s happening they are shutting all the self thinking entrepreneurs down so they can control things with big business they want to kill free market
Even though it is already dead they prop up dying mega corps that drain the profit into their hands. Thing is Amazon controls 40+ % of the online Market now and you know they put places like toy/ baby are us out of business by cutting prices. So low it was a loss cause they can hold out and people use them like they are going out

Same shit going on in my city. Thanks uncle Joe! Lol don’t worry it’ll come to an end when unemployment runs out. My state already started cutting it back. I have friends that own restaurants and all have same complaint, can’t get staff. We are breeding a country of lazy, entitled, pussies

This is a huge problem in alot of states.

Montana was the first to be smart about the situation by giving a bonus to go back to work over staying on unemployment.

I can completely understand its completely BS to stay on unemployment if there’s a job available especially in your profession.

I do have a problem though with alot of these businesses crying about not having staff but they fired everyone when they shutdown the country.
If they would have furloughed there employees they would all be back to work but they wanted to save money while the government was giving them money to keep there employees alot of money also 10k+ depending on the amount of employees. They didn’t and they took all that covid money and put it in the bank instead of keeping there employees with the relief funds. So I don’t feel bad for the restaurants that did this there employees are doing the same thing that their boss did collect government money.

The USA is very broken im extremely worried and honestly our president can’t even read whats on the teleprompter. When or how does someone eventually step in and say that president Biden might not be in sound mind to be running the country? I don’t know if this is something that happens like impeachment or something else.

Or atleast a type of serious recession but Biden is trying to spend us out of it but just dumping a really big issue for future Americans.

Another example of how government benefits incentivize bad conduct by small businesses: The school where my wife works pays teachers over 12 months, but of course, they don’t work during the Summer. The Summer pay is just deferred comp for what they do during the 9-month school year. When COVID hit, however, the school “furloughed” all the teachers right after graduation and refused to pay the Summer pay. As everyone was gearing up to sue, the school made clear that everyone who was furloughed would actually earn MORE through a combination of federal and state unemployment than if they received their Summer pay. So noone sued, the school got away with it, and who paid the tab? You and I did, through our taxes that fund unemployment.

Its really a very serious possibility precious metal prices have exploded in value.
Gun stores are sold out over and over ammunition is what to invest in stocks for lol I can only imagine the amount sold in 2020.
